Nexbis Validated on IBM’s Global Government Industry Framework

Nexbis Wins Maldives Tender

The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, Republic of Maldives has informed Nexbis that its proposal for the Maldives Immigration and Emigration Border Control System project has been accepted and awarded by the Tender Evaluation Board. Nexbis won this highly competitive international bid against other bidders from Europe and Asia proving the unparalleled value-added advantages of its international award-winning Nexcode solution.

The award is for a 20-year Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) concession contract covering all entry and exit point systems, as well as foreigner/visitor and foreign worker Immigration security documents.

NexCode wins ‘Best of Security' in the International APICTA 2008 Award

15th Nov 2008, Kuala Lumpur – Nexbis Sdn Bhd has been rewarded for its excellence in the National Security field by winning the ‘Best of Security’ award in the prestigious International Asia Pacific Information Communication Technology Alliances (APICTA) Annual Competition and Award 2008 held in Jakarta recently.

With intense competition from countries across the best security solution award winners from countries such as Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore are competing in the International APICTA Annual Competition. The award is a firmly established landmark event in the ICT calendar. It is Asia Pacific’s most prestigious and respected award competition in the ICT sector.

Nexbis Joins International Enforcement Agencies to Fight Cyberspace Crime

BANGKOK, November 2008 - More than 100 senior representatives from governments, police forces, international security agencies and technology experts from around the world gathered at the 8th Annual Policing Cyberspace International Summit 2008 to facilitate collaboration and information sharing among government enforcement authorities, as well as between public and private sectors with regards to information security, cyberspace crimes; including crimes committed against children and youth; identity theft, document fraud and privacy.

Officiated by The Honourable Dr. Mun Patanotai, Minister of Information and Communication Technology Thailand, the five-day event hosted by the Society for the Policing of Cyberspace (POLCYB), brought together international enforcement and security agencies such as INTERPOL and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, with security technology experts such as Nexbis to exchange information and knowledge on the latest cyber crime threats and to discuss the trends and implications of technologies upon national security and identity management.

Headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, POLCYB operates at an international level, and was established to promote cybersecurity through enhancing and developing global partnerships to prevent and combat cyberspace crimes. Its members consist primarily of police forces, enforcement agencies, government ministries and selected private sector companies from various countries around the world. Representing Malaysia, Nexbis Sdn.
